Vinyasa Style Yoga

Flowing and Dynamic Sequence of poses that is one of the most popular styles of yoga in the United States.  This type of practice involves synchronizing the breath with a continuous flow of postures. The fluid, almost dance-like movements increase flexibility, strength, and stamina, as it calms the mind and improves overall health.

Beginner Yoga - All levels-Beginner. Helps you build a strong foundation for your personal yoga practice while learning what to expect in a group yoga class. This class is perfect for beginners and practitioners of all levels looking for a slower practice or a refresher in yoga basics. We move at a mindful pace, offer up space for questions during practice and focus on developing confidence in yogic breathing and physical asana (yoga postures).

Vinyasa - All levels-Intermediate welcome. Slow flow, more grounding and connecting practice. Building flexibility, calming the mind through mindful movements. All Levels are welcome, the class will push your practice to an intermediate level.

Hot Yoga - All levels-Intermediate. A vigorous Vinyasa flow in a heated room (80-85 degrees) increases body temperature to loosen your muscles and induce sweating to release toxins and detoxify your body. The heat allows you to safely go a little deeper into the postures.  Hot Yoga is designed for people who want an intense cardiovascular workout to develop strength, flexibility and muscle tone. Vinyasa flow in heat helps the body relax, improves breathing rhythm and focuses the mind.

Please ask your Health Care Practitioner if Hot Yoga is right for you.

Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini Yoga is called the Yoga of Awareness. It is a dynamic, powerful tool that is designed to give you an experience of your soul.

In Kundalini Yoga we harness the mental, physical, and nervous energies of the body and put them under the domain of the will, which is the instrument of the soul. This technology precisely and consciously combines breath, mudra, eye-focus, mantra, body locks, and postures to balance the glandular system, strengthen the nervous system, expand lung capacity, and purify the blood. It brings balance to the body, mind, and soul.

"In Kundalini Yoga the most important thing is your experience. It goes right to your heart. No words can replace your experience. Your mind may accept the words or it may not, but your consciousness will not accept just words."

-Yogi Bhajan, The Aquarian Teacher Training manual, p. 20

Tai Chi Chuan

Have you seen a group of people practicing Tai Chi in the park? You will see a choreographed slow and rhythmic flow of movements. Look closely and you may notice that though similar, everyone has their own unique movements, and often they are looking inside and at their hands, not watching a leader.

Our class will introduce the Yang Style Long Form of Tai Chi Chuan. We will start with learning the basic movements. Later we will study 2 person exercises. These are whole body integrated movements. We learn to be balanced, stable and connected to the ground and use our waist to direct the movements. Movements are intentional and without force.  We study the Tai Chi principles, which include posture, moving internally,  and developing unity of the body. The movements become meditative.
